Distance Education is as closer as one may believe

Present day and times demand the higher qualifications off the youth. One needs to hone their selves up in order to beat the vicious competition that’s been on a rise. Although hard-work just can’t be compensated with anything but the value of attaining a higher degree is still there- - be it for genuine reasons or to show it off. The practice of attending classes has been diminishing; this is due to the advent of Distance Education. The mode of education has become a ‘hit’ all over the world now.

In India, many Regular, as well as, Private Colleges provide education through this mode. The courses done via this method are quite flexible in nature; therefore provide a scope for the student to pursue both studies and job simultaneously.

Many of the factors are involved in making Distance learning Course a major need, but technology has played the pivotal role. Diplomas, Bachelor’s, Master’s – all can be pursued by Distance Mode. However, one must take into consideration the affiliation of the university that they are taking admission into. Herein, DEC (Distance Education Council) approval is needed besides the approval from UGC (University Grants Commission). Online courses are also a part of Distance Education.
